TORONTO, March 3, 2025 – Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) continues to see strong demand for its electrified vehicles, reaching 7,983 electrified units sold in February 2025, representing 57.3% of overall February sales.
For the Toyota Division, electrified vehicles sales represented 55.9% of all units sold in February 2025 while electrified vehicles represented 66.8% of all Lexus Division units sold in February 2025, good for a February record.
Numerous hybrid-powered nameplates saw strong demand during January, including:
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) sold 13,924 vehicles in February, down 20.2% from February 2024.
Toyota division saw February sales of 11,660 units sold, down 24.2% from February 2024.
Lexus division saw record February sales of 2,264 units sold, up 9.5% from February 2024.
Toyota and Lexus vehicles assembled in Canada in high demand
Canada’s best-selling passenger vehicle, the Toyota RAV4, saw its hybrid version hit a February record with 2,996 units sold, up 52.2% year over year. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada-made Lexus RX and NX also saw strong February sales, up 8.6% and 18.6% respectively, with February records for their electrified versions: the RX Hybrid is up 28.2% and NX Hybrid is up 49.2% year over year.
