Environmental sustainability is a key factor in everything we do and every vehicle we make. From our Canadian manufacturing plants to the Toyota and Lexus vehicles we assemble, our goal is to achieve net zero CO2 emissions at our global manufacturing facilities by 2050.
Our facilities reflect our ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency of our operations. Our Canadian facilities are ISO 14001 Certified and our new Zero Carbon Building – Design™ certified Eastern Canada Parts Distribution Centre is one of the most sustainable buildings of its kind in Canada.
Launched in 2015, the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050 is the company’s most recent comprehensive global environmental strategy. It consists of six goals that seek to make a game-changing contribution to some of the critical environmental issues facing the world today, including climate change, water scarcity, resource depletion, and species and habitat loss.
