(TORONTO, ON – July 2, 2015) Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) sold 20,689 vehicles in June, an increase of 10.5% versus last year. Divisional sales for Toyota and Scion reported 18,755 units, up 9.1% over 2014, and Lexus with 1,914 units sold, up 25.8% over last year. Sales for the first half of the year reached 104,977 – up 4.3% compared to the first six months of 2014.
It was the best June ever for TCI truck sales – the sixth consecutive monthly sales record established for trucks – with 10,750 units sold, up 19.4% versus 2014. Highlights included a June record for sales of the Canadian-made RAV4 with 3,748 units sold, up 31.9% over 2014, and the Tundra with 1,021 units, up 10.7% over last year.
It was also the ninth consecutive monthly record month for Lexus sales, with 1,914 luxury vehicles sold in June, up 25.8% compared to last year.
