Toyota Canada Announces Non-Compliance of Tire Label
TORONTO, ON., (December 20, 2013) - Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) will conduct a voluntary recall to replace the tire and loading label on approximately 146 Toyota Matrix vehicles from the 2014 model year.
Certain labels were misprinted incorrectly stating the front tire size. While inconsequential to safety as the actual installed tires comply with all related safety standards, TCI will voluntarily recall all affected vehicles.
All known owners of subject vehicles will be notified by mail and requested to return their vehicle to a Toyota dealership to have a corrected label installed.
