Canadian Toyota Drivers score top marks for value

Automotive Lease Guide and Kelley Blue Book give Canadians even more reasons to choose Toyota with confidence

(TORONTO) Toyota owners know their vehicles represent good value for their driving dollar. Now, two separate observers of the auto sector have named Toyota vehicles as tops in value, too.

  • ALG – publisher of the well-respected Automotive Lease Guide, the standard for residual value projections in the industry – has named the Toyota Camry mid-size sedan and Toyota Sequoia full-size SUV as the models most likely to retain the highest percentage of their original price in Canada after a conventional retail lease within their segments. What’s more, Toyota ranks second for overall mainstream brand residual value rankings. ALG’s findings were announced earlier this month as part of the firm’s first Canadian Residual Value Awards, based on 2009 model year vehicles.
  • Kelley Blue Book, the leading American provider of new- and used-vehicle information, recently announced that seven of the top 20 most-researched new cars of 2008 on their highly-trafficked Web site were Toyota vehicles. In fact, no less than five of the top 10 most-researched vehicles were fuel-efficient, value-conscious Toyotas, indicating consumers are seeking more for their hard-earned dollar. The Toyota Camry, Prius, Corolla, Highlander, RAV4, Yaris and Sienna all earned spots in the coveted top 20.
“Making every dollar go further is important to Canadian drivers - especially in today’s economic environment - and Toyota Canada is committed to delivering this kind of value to its customers year in and year out,” noted Stephen Beatty, Managing Director at Toyota Canada Inc.

“Canadians appreciate that Toyota’s legendary reputation for quality, dependability and reliability gives them the peace of mind that comes from owning a well-built vehicle that will deliver a high resale value when they’re ready for their next Toyota.”Toyota Canada Inc.
